About Windmill Farm

Windmill Farm Kennels & Cattery is nestled in the heart of Coulsdon Common, surrounded by 15 acres of peaceful land, yet only 10 minutes from the M25. Originally founded more than 60 years ago by a member of the prestigious Crufts family, Windmill Farm was recently acquired by its current owners in September 2024.

Since taking the reins, we’ve been busy making exciting improvements to ensure your pets enjoy the very best care and attention during their stay. In 2025 our kennel block will undergo a complete makeover, as we introduce underfloor heating and totally renovate our suites. We’ve also invested in an array of new toys and enrichment activities to keep your pets engaged, whether inside their kennel or exploring our spacious outdoor areas. All our behind-the-scenes projects will further enhance the facilities in the coming months, providing an enriching and enjoyable experience for your furry companions.

To ensure every pet receives plenty of exercise and socialisation, all dogs are walked at least twice a day on our own private paddocks. They also enjoy their own covered outdoor run, giving them the freedom to roam in a safe and secure environment. Inside the kennels and cattery, we provide a variety of toys and activities to stimulate both mind and body.

Our licence and insurance insists that all our guests at Windmill Farm need to be fully up to date on their mandatory vaccinations and we must have proof of this uploaded to their profiles here. These can either be uploaded via your Kennel Booker profile, or you are welcome to email them to us, and we will upload them on your behalf.

The required vaccinations for our canine guests are the standard Leptospira (L2 or L4) and DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza). And please note that if you are planning to vaccinate against Kennel Cough, you must allow at least two weeks from the date of vaccination before staying at Windmill Farm, as the Kennel Cough vaccination uses a live vaccine that can be passed on to other dogs within that two week window.

And our feline guests must be fully up to date with their core vaccinations, including feline infectious enteritis (panleukopenia) and cat flu (feline herpesvirus and calicivirus). Vaccinations must be valid at the time of their stay, with the most recent booster given at least 1–2 weeks before the booking start date.

Our kennels and cattery are fully heated, ensuring a cosy and comfortable stay, no matter the weather. For peace of mind, a veterinarian is always on 24/7 standby.

If you're unable to transport your pet to us, or if we're a bit farther away than you'd prefer, we offer a convenient collection and delivery service. Just get in touch for more information!

At Windmill Farm, we’re committed to providing the highest standard of care, with a personal touch, so your pets feel right at home while you’re away.
