A Countryside Retreat for Dogs and Cats

Set within fifteen acres of open countryside on Coulsdon Common, Windmill Farm is a place for dogs and cats to settle in, stretch out and relax into their surroundings. Just a short drive from London, yet entirely its own world.

Founded over sixty years ago, with roots tied to the world of Crufts, Windmill Farm has been thoughtfully reimagined by the MacDonald family since 2024—retaining its heritage while introducing a softer, more considered approach to animal care.

Everything here is designed to feel calm, unhurried and intentional.

Windmill Farm offers four distinct services: country boarding in our kennels, premium cat suites within the cattery, structured countryside daycare, and home-from-home boarding through The Doghouse.  

We also work closely with a trusted training partner, offering access to professional support where needed. Each service is delivered with the same calm, considered approach that defines Windmill Farm.

Thoughtful Care, Always

We keep numbers controlled, groups well-balanced and care consistent.

Ongoing improvements continue across the farm, from enrichment and facilities to the way each day is structured, ensuring every stay feels considered and seamless.

All guests must be fully up to date with vaccinations prior to arrival, with records provided in advance. This allows us to maintain a safe and secure environment for every animal in our care.

Our facilities are fully heated, with a veterinarian on call 24 hours a day. Collection and delivery can also be arranged where needed.

Windmill Farm holds a 5-star Animal Welfare Licence, awarded by the London Borough of Croydon.
